I’m not sure if people visit this blog to read about the latest e cigarette news or if you are searching Google looking to buy e cigarettes but since there seems to be so many e cig retailers out there I though it might be a good idea for me to recommend what I believe to be the best product on the market.

The problem most of us have is that we don’t know anyone personally who uses an electric cigarette so it can be hard to get the information we need about what devices are good and which are nothing but junk. There are so many places that re brand Chinese imports and try to pass them off as their own high quality e cigs that its easy to get stuck with a substandard example. My major problem with this is that many of you will buy something Online that doesn’t meet your expectations and you’ll think all e cigarettes are the same and forget about trying to use one to help you stop smoking. This would be a great shame, as for me this is the best product available to help you stop smoking tobacco. Even if you only substitute your nicotine addiction with the e cig rather than quit altogether.

The electric cigs that appear cheap on the website may end up being more expensive due to all the replacement atomizers and batteries you need to buy. And simple things like leaky nicotine cartridges and batteries that don’t hold their charge may be enough to drive you back to smoking analogues before you have given the concept a chance.

Yes, its better to spend a little extra and get the quality right off the bat. In my humble opinion that means picking up a green smoke e cigarette. This is an American company that has a commitment to quality and a product that beats the competition hands down. I won’t go into all the reasons why I recommend this product in particular, you can visit their website to find out for yourself.

The main reason I believe they are better due to the integrated atomizer and nicotine cartridge which means every time you stick a new cart on your device you are getting an new atomizer at the same time. This ensures the quality of the “smoking” experience is as good 6 months down the line as the day you receive your e cigarette in the post.

Its true that green smoke electric cigarette are a bit more expensive than the competition but the difference in quality is unmistakable from the moment you take it out the box. If you are interested in buying then have a look at their website and if you use the green smoke promo code disc10-2338 you’ll get an extra 10% off your purchase.

Click Here to visit the Green Smoke Electric Cigarette Shop

If this article helps steer a few people towards the green smoke and away from the cheap nasty alternatives then it will have been worth the time it has taken to write it.

Well we knew it was bound to happen eventually and it seems as if the news many have been dreading is on the horizon. Nothing is even nearly settled at the moment but it seems that there have been talks going on between Phillip Morris and the Ruyan E Cigarette Company.

After a couple of years of the major players in the tobacco and pharmaceutical industry doing all they can to beat the electronic cigarette to death they know want a piece of the pie.

Arthur Schopenhauer once said that “All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” We’re coming to the stage where the e cigarette is going to be accepted and promoted by the tobacco industry as the obvious way for all smokers to get their nicotine fix. All the arguments about e cigarette safety will be quickly forgotten in the rush to make as much money as possible.

A couple of years ago when the electric cigarette was introduced to the market it was pretty much ignored by the tobacco companies. They sat back and let small niche companies build up a market for the product and when the device started to become popular they, along with the FDA and the nicotine replacement therapy manufacturers, went to lengths to make sure everyone knew how the product had never been tested and could be dangerous.

Of course those of us who have used the E Cigarette have always known that it was a product ahead of its time which was going to gain main stream approval. If big tobacco does get involved in this then it has its good and bad points.

The good:

The cash they will be willing to spend on research and development will mean big advances in the technology which will mean a better vaping experience for us all.

Their huge financial clout will ensure that required lobbying and research will take place which get the FDA and all other “health authorities” off our backs.

The bad:

Big tobacco will waltz in with their huge cash resources and take most or all of the business off the E Cig companies who have done all the hard work building this product from nothing.

The companies who have been lying to and literally killing us for the last 150 years with their deadly products will continue to take our hard earned cash.

I don’t know about you but I much rather give my money to a small e cigarette company that a multinational corporation who are quite happy to kill for money.

At this point no agreement has been reached between the Ruyan Group and Philip Morris but its only a matter of time before the tobacco companies claim their slice of this potentially very lucrative pie.

I’ll keep you posted on how this story develops as I get more information.

The last post I made about the research regarding the possibility that nicotine replacement therapy might cause cancer or make it worse seemed to have brewed up a bit of a storm. I put the article up as I like to show both sides of the story in regards to these devices, nicotine is not a health product after all and its highly addictive properties mean that we would all do well to remove it from our lives if at all possible. How detrimental it is to our health may be open to some argument but at the end of the day we’re better of without in in our body for our physical and mental well being. If you don’t agree with that then there’s probably nothing I can say to change your mind.

I think the electronic cigarette is a great stop smoking aid and definitely the best nicotine replacement therapy available on the market but should we really be treating them as a long term substitute for smoking or a stepping stone to a drug free existence? I used the e cigarette along with the “easy way to stop smoking” book by Allen Carr to rid myself of nicotine and wholeheartedly recommend them to any smoker who wants to quit. But, my belief is that our aim should be to work on becoming nicotine free as possible.

Don’t get me wrong, swapping tobacco for vaporized nicotine is going to do wonders for your health if you are a long term smoker but cutting out nicotine entirely should be the next step.

What I have discovered is that a life that doesn’t revolve around a drug addiction is a happier, more content life. What’s natural about having a constant urge to supply your body with a chemical, whether natural or man made, at regular intervals throughout the day? To me there is something wrong with finding yourself on this amazing planet and being horrified that you have run out of nicotine, but this is the predicament smokers find themselves whenever they find their supplies diminishing. Cut out the addiction and you’ll be surprised how simple things become far more enjoyable and you’ll probably find that you become a more productive human being.

I know that many people who are still smoking or vaping are going to have a fit when they read this but I’m not writing with the intent of pissing people off, I just want convince as many people as possible that they can live a life without nicotine and the first step in doing so is realizing that whatever you think it adds to your life is an illusion.

There’s no doubt in my mind that E Cigarettes are miles ahead of tobacco products as a way to deliver nicotine to the system in terms of their effect on your health but is your aim to find a healthier way to be a drug addict or to free yourself from the shackles of addiction for good?

My advice is to get a hold of the “Easy way to stop smoking” book and an E cigarette if you need it as a way to get off the smokes. In time wean yourself off nicotine altogether and you’ll find life to be an altogether more enjoyable experience.

Anything you can do to help you quit smoking for good gets the vote from me, whether its joining a support group, getting hypnotherapy or replacing your cigarettes with the e cigarette. There are even herbs to quit smoking available these days and I’m sure they are as effective as anything you will get from your doctor. But according to the UK’s national health service you’re up to 4 times more likely to stop smoking if you get NHS support and use nicotine replacement therapies.

Not really sure what they mean when they say you are ‘up to’ 4 times more likely to stop though, and when did they start calling nicotine replacement therapies ’stop smoking medicine’? I don’t know, maybe they’re just so excited about the opportunity to stop people smoking that they get a bit carried away with themselves.

You know I’m a bit skeptical about the drug companies in general but I wonder how hard the pharmaceutical companies push the NHS to flog their products to the public extra hard. And calling nicotine replacement therapy a medicine seems like an outright lie. I mean if a medicine is a substance used to treat a disease or illness then I guess nicotine addiction is now a disease. Sounds to me as if someone is trying to gloss over the fact that these ’stop smoking medicines’ do exactly the same thing as the cigarette you are trying to give up, that is deliver nicotine into your bloodstream.

Still, I guess if the NHS really achieves its aim of increasing peoples chances to stop smoking then its worth giving it a shot if you’re in the UK and having trouble giving up the weed. Just try and do it without the aid of the ’stop smoking medicines, the drug companies have enough money and you can stop without their help.

I always thought that the thing that made smoking so hard to stop was the fact that the very act of smoking somehow managed to become part of my personality. I’m not sure how or when this happened but it undoubtedly occurred at some point during my smoking career. There seems to come a point when your whole life begins to revolve around smoking cigarettes, there’s the friends who all smoke, the social activities which would begin to feel empty, and the bizarre intimate relationship we unconsciously build with our nicotine filled friend.

Every time I tried to kick the habit it was like I was giving up a part of myself, and this more than any addiction to nicotine, contributed to the immense struggle that took place when I was trying to stop.

When I found the E Cigarette I had just come through another failed attempt to stop smoking and although I was still at the point where I really wanted to kick the habit I didn’t think I had the energy to give it another shot. E cigarettes allowed me to stop inhaling the poisonous fumes from cigarettes without making any effort. I could continue to get a fix of nicotine and the e cigarette seemed like a genuine substitute for my smoky friend, allowing to quit in my own time without having to worry about health consequences. This gradual experience allowed me to readjust my self-image in such a way that I could stop when the transformation was complete without the dread I normally associated with giving up.

As you can all see I haven’t been updating this blog recently. The main reason is that I have had other things in my life that I’ve been concentrating on, mainly associated with trying to make a living.

The other, perhaps more important reason why the blog has gone to the dogs is that I’ve finally become totally nicotine free. I no longer smoke cigarettes and I’ve even punted my trusty e cigarette. How did this come about? Well to be honest, after a few months of puffing away on my electronic cigarette I had a moment of clarity where I came to the realisation that nicotine wasn’t adding anything to my life. Of course I had known for years that nicotine was doing nothing for me except keeping me smoking but at that moment I truly realised the reality of the habit. We don’t enjoy cigarette, they don’t taste good and they are not cool, the only reason we smoke is because we are addicted to nicotine!

I happened to be rereading Allen Carr’s “Easy Way To Stop Smoking” when I had my epiphany so I think that definitely helped things along. Anyway, the day after this took place my electronic cigarette was in the trash and I’ve been nicotine free ever since. This exciting episode happened a couple of months ago and I’m happy to say that in general I’m not missing my old friend one bit. The only time I’ve felt like picking up a cigarette has been when drinking, but considering I drink alcohol so rarely these days its not much of a problem.

I’m going to get this blog back up and running, filling it with information on how to quit smoking in the hope that it will motivate others to take the first steps to a nicotine free life. Its really not that hard when you get yourself in the right frame of mind and things are so much better when you life don’t revolve around cancer sticks.

It seems amazing to me, a self-confessed e cigarette addict, that some strange individuals don’t appreciate the technological wonder that is the electronic nicotine delivery system. A friend of mine is currently attempting to give up the fags with the help of the e cig but finding that they don’t have the taste of the cigarette that he’s looking for. I don’t know about you, but for me the rancid taste of burning tobacco and ashtray breath are the last things I’m looking for when trying to satisfy my craving. Give me a choice of smooth, cherry flavored atomised nicotine or a draw on a malboro and I’ll choose my favourite fruity delights all day long.

Anyway, he’s been tobacco free for over 2 weeks now and is bravely resisting the lure of his favourite smokes. When I spoke to him last night he promised to persevere as long as it takes to beat the ciggies. I’ll let you know how he goes.
